               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b> The Palouse Route Technician is responsible for meeting with business owners and managers for existing customers and for handling their pest control solutions.  Additional responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, cleaning equipment, shop work, and other appropriate duties as assigned. This technician needs to be cordial, knowledgeable about chemicals being applied and methods used, and to maintain a professional appearance, attitude and speech. This technician needs to be physically capable of entering and working in areas such as crawl spaces and attics as well as of lifting and moving items weighing 50 or more pounds.<BR>-Training will occur on the job, but the technician is responsible for acquiring his/her own license initially through either Idaho or Washington State Department of Agriculture (based on residency) and then maintaining licenses in both Idaho and Washington (based on reciprocity).<BR>-License categories required by the end of training are: Laws & Safety, General PCO, Ornamental Insect & Disease, Ornamental Weed.<BR>-Before a first raise, the technician also must become licensed in: Structural Pest Inspector, PCO Structural.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b> Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and insurable (to drive company vehicle)<BR>-Physically able to safely maneuver in tight spaces and to lift items weighing 50 lbs or more<BR>-Able and willing to work evenings and weekends as customer contracts dictate<BR>-Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service<BR>-Acquire by the end of training (or already possess) as well as maintain licenses in Structural Pest Inspector and PCO Structural<BR>-Acquire by the end of training (or already possess) as well as maintain license categories in Laws & Safety, General PCO, Ornamental Insect & Disease, and Ornamental Weed<BR>-Pass background check to employer's satisfaction<BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b> 32 - 40 hrs/wk, some overtime work during busy seasons<BR>-some evening and/or weekend work, as customer contracts require<BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b> $9.04/hr during training, DOE and/or licenses and certifications<BR>-increase to $10.29/hr after successful completion of training (usually 30 - 45 days)<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE / DEADLINE:</b> Open until filled or at discretion of employer<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY / REQUEST A REFERRAL:</b> Submit your resume AND generic application to WorkSource.
