Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Responsibilities:<BR>* Develop, implement and maintain material planning and purchasing policies to assure timely flow of materials and products to customers.<BR>* Develop and foster business relationships with suppliers.<BR>* Facilitate communications and coordination between purchasing, planning and engineering to manage commodities and suppliers effectively and with innovation.<BR>* Monitor and report purchasing department measures.<BR>* Buy supplies, materials and equipment for factory operation consistent with quality and delivery expectations.<BR>* Issue and review quotes, contact vendors and award component bids.<BR>* Evaluate vendor performance.<BR>* Follow and improve purchasing processes.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. degree in business or equivalent or Associate degree with related experience<BR>* Five years'' experience as a senior buyer<BR>* Understanding of electronics technology, manufacturing methods and quality processes<BR>* Excellent writing and speaking skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* M.B.A.<BR>* APICS certificationTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
