Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Senior Buyer - Capital EquipmentResponsibilities:<BR>* Procure equipment, software, materials, and services consistent with quality, delivery and costs expectations.<BR>* Analyze changes in market conditions, prices, and suppliers.<BR>* Develop cost reduction strategies.<BR>* Negotiate capital equipment & software licensing purchases.<BR>* Issue and review quotes, contact vendors, and award bids.<BR>* Manage supplier relationships.<BR>* Facilitate commodity management teams as required.<BR>* Conduct supplier qualification audits as required.<BR>* Evaluate vendor performance.<BR>* Follow and improve purchasing processes.Qualifications:<BR>* Bachelor?s degree in business or Associates degree with related experience<BR>* Minimum three years experience with purchasing or related field<BR>* Experience negotiating capital equipment purchases and contract terms<BR>* Ability to lead cross-functional teams<BR>* Hands-on use of automated electronic data system software (ERP system)<BR>* Excellent writing and speaking skills<BR>* Excellent organizational skills<BR>* Intermediate experience level with Microsoft Word & Excel applications<BR>* Ability to manage multiple projects<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test results(s)<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policyPreferred Qualifications:<BR>* Familiarity with electronics purchasing<BR>* Knowledge of purchasing/accounting interactions<BR>* Intermediate experience level with Microsoft PowerPoint applications<BR>* APICS/CPM CertificationsTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
