Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Senior Buyer - New Product DevelopmentResponsibilities:<BR>* Utilize MRP System to procure materials for manufacturing production consistent with quality, delivery and cost expectations.<BR>* Analyze changes in global market conditions, prices and trends, and suppliers.<BR>* Support strategic sourcing and procurement activities as defined by NPI projects and sustaining engineering changes.<BR>* Develop and maintain cost and commodity models in support of the company?s supply chain objectives.<BR>* Negotiate and monitor procurement contracts and cost reduction initiatives.<BR>* Issue and manage competitive RFQ?s, negotiate prices, and award purchase orders.<BR>* Develop and manage supplier relationships and commodity strategies.<BR>* Participate in and/or facilitate commodity management teams.<BR>* Conduct and facilitate supplier qualification audits for new and existing suppliers.<BR>* Transition management of new product materials.<BR>* Evaluate and monitor new and existing supplier operational goals.<BR>* Conduct risk assessments of critical/complex supply chain elements.<BR>* Follow and improve purchasing processes.Qualifications:<BR>* Bachelor?s degree in business or electronics or Associates degree with related experience<BR>* Understanding of electronics technology, manufacturing methods and total quality processes<BR>* Minimum five years experience with electronics purchasing or related field<BR>* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing and NPI environment<BR>* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and solve complex supply-related problem<BR>* Ability to meet deadlines, work on short lead times and handle high-stress situations<BR>* Excellent writing and speaking skills<BR>* Excellent presentation and organizational skills<BR>* Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel<BR>* Intermediate experience level with Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint applications<BR>* Understand technical drawings, prints and specifications<BR>* Familiarity with fundamentals of project management in a NPI environment<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test results(s)<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free </font></td>
