Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Senior Protection EngineerResponsibilities:<BR>* Maintain a high level of technical expertise in electric power system protection.<BR>* Maintain a high level of knowledge of SEL equipment and solutions to electric power system.<BR>* Lead in performing event report analysis, product test schemes, protection scheme design and relay coordination services.<BR>* Prepare and present successful proposals for SEL equipment, services and systems.<BR>* Act as a primary customer contact on technical matters.<BR>* Lead project teams to resolve customer concerns and foster customer satisfaction.<BR>* Complete assigned work within agreed upon schedule and budget at the highest level of quality.<BR>* Lead in training and assisting customers with the installation, commissioning and operation of protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices.<BR>* Assume Project Management role on assigned projects.<BR>* Follow and improve applicable processes.<BR>* Provide support for other SEL marketing, sales, application engineering and development activities.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university<BR>* Over 15 years working knowledge of electrical power systems, protection practices and philosophies<BR>* Detailed knowledge of protective relay or automation applications<BR>* Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills<BR>* Willing to travel up to 25% both nationally and internationally<BR>* Professional Engineer in any state or territory in the US<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience being a part o                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             </font></td>
