Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Software Engineer - C#.NET (Windows Applications)Responsibilities:<BR>* Participate in writing software requirement specifications.<BR>* Participate in project planning and estimation.<BR>* Create and implement software designs.<BR>* Participate in software verification and validation processes (incl. code reviews, unit testing).<BR>* Mentor Associate Software Engineers and technicians.<BR>* Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as needed to meet operational and strategic plans.<BR>* Follow and improve R&D processes.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree<BR>* 1-4 years experience developing Windows GUI applications<BR>* Knowledge and experience in object oriented languages (C++, C#, Java, Delphi)<BR>* Knowledge and experience developing on current Windows operating systems<BR>* Proficiency in developing using the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE<BR>* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills<BR>* Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to quality<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policyPreferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience using design/architectural patterns<BR>* Experience creating component-based software architectures<BR>* Experience with automated unit testing (MSTest, NUnit)<BR>* Experience using UML modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect)<BR>* Experience with communication protocols and computer networking<BR>* Familiarity with the electrical power systems industryTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
