This position offers a broad range of learning opportunities by exposure to a variety of SEL?s core products, protective relays, and their interface to networking and accessory products. The key responsibility for this position is to test and troubleshoot firmware/software to meet specifications and engineering requirements. If you are looking for an opportunity to work for a great company, with excellent benefits and an outstanding reputation for quality, then this may be the position for you!<BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR>* Design test plans, programs and script files.<BR>* Document, analyze and communicate test results using spreadsheets, database programs and CASE tools.<BR>* Test SEL software/firmware to meet specifications and engineering requirements.<BR>* Provide support to engineering staff as needed.<BR>* Accomplish software/firmware testing tasks requiring a basic knowledge of software/firmware testing processes.<BR>* Assist in implementing software/firmware designs.<BR>* Follow and improve engineering quality assurance procedures.Qualifications:<BR>* Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree<BR>* Working knowledge of modern test equipment<BR>* Experience with automated testing software and scripting<BR>* Strong writing and speaking skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience in programming with C and assembly languages<BR>* Experience with Perl or Python<BR>* Experience with RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet and USB<BR>* Experience in Windows Graphical User Interface application developmentTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
