Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Responsibilities:<BR>* Possess, improve and maintain a high level of technical competence in software testing methods and related tools.<BR>* Design and supervise implementation of testing and test infrastructure.<BR>* Act as a test lead on some projects ensuring that all project testing deliverables meet quality, cost, schedule and performance objectives.<BR>* Establish and grow the capabilities of the software test personnel. Determine the type of skills and knowledge required by staff in order to meet or exceed development project needs.<BR>* Supervise and mentor test engineers and test technicians in state of the art test practices.<BR>* Develop and conduct internal training programs. Define training standards for test personnel.<BR>* Work with Firmware Engineering Managers and Software Process Group to identify and support standard test methods and common tools and scripts.<BR>* Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as needed to stay current with methods and tools.<BR>* Participate in the implementation and management of software quality policies, systems and processes.<BR>* Review test plans in cooperation with the development projects. Provide improvement suggestions to the project.<BR>* Select, evaluate, and implement new technologies for existing and future product testing.Qualifications:<BR>* BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent degree<BR>* 5 years professional software engineering experience<BR>* C or C++ experience, especially in firmware design and development<BR>* Good working knowledge of software testing methods and tools<BR>* Experience with automated software test methods and tools<BR>* Excellent leadership and communication skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience with real-time and embedded systems<BR>* Experience with data communications, including use of protocol analysis tools<BR>* Experience with Python or other scripting languages<BR>* Experience with the automation of testing processes and tools<BR>* Knowledge of SEL productsTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
