Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org       <BR><BR>Position Summary:<BR>The Volunteer Services Program Coordinator for Medical Explorers and Nurse Camp is responsible for coordinating/advising the Medical Explorer Posts at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and at Tacoma General/Mary Bridge and Nurse Camp. This includes coordinating the initial screening orientation and placement of the Med Explorer Volunteers; coordinating internal volunteer rotations in partnership with hospital site volunteer program coordinators, coordinating Med Explorers for external events with community partners. Coordination of Nurse Camp includes working with department managers, staff, medical explorer volunteers and hospital-based volunteers to plan and execute learning modules for the annual Nurse Camp participants.<BR><BR>Works with autonomy in situations varying from daily routine functions to specialized project work; requires organization, attention to detail, discretion, good judgment, independent thinking and decision making, and exceptional customer service skills. <BR><BR>Minimum Requirements:<BR>Experience in volunteer management or program development. Experience in healthcare desirable.<BR><BR>Education/Licenses/Certifications:<BR>Bachelor?s Degree required<BR>A combination of post high-school education and 4 years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor?s degree requirement<BR>Additional Information<BR><BR>The successful candidate will have experience in working with young adults (13-18) or event planning.<BR>NOTE: This position will be located at Good Samaritan Hospital but will travel to other locations throughout the organization as needed.
