If so, we want to hear from you!<BR><BR>The GFS Data Center Services Architecture & Design Strategy team is responsible for setting the technical direction and reliability profile of Microsoft''s global data center facilities footprint. Working in lock-step with Microsoft''s online services development and operations teams, ADS delivers aligned infrastructure architectures that contemplate system availability from the server through the network and data center up into the application stack.<BR><BR>Roles & Responsibilities<BR><BR>The Principal Data Center Architect is responsible for developing and extending facilities level failure and maintenance domains into a common hierarchy for consumption and coordination across multiple disciplines including server hardware, network, manageability and application development. This high visibility thought-leadership role will influence and develop Microsoft''s data center technical strategy while working collaboratively across teams and divisions to effect full stack integration and will develop infrastructure strategies aligned to a common roadmap. The successful candidate will work in a highly ambiguous environment, distilling and prioritizing requirements into detailed specifications and socializing a multi-year solutions roadmap across multiple business groups at technical and executive levels. Your strategic insight will define data driven reference architectures, solution portfolios and success metrics across diverse and complex inter-relationships.<BR><BR>Required Skills and Experience<BR>?7+ years data center or online service design engineering, operations engineering or related experience.<BR>?3+ years experience developing strategic solutions that span organizational boundaries<BR>?BA/BS in business, management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering OR equivalent experience required. MBA or advanced degree is beneficial.<BR>?Deep knowledge and insight around data center infrastructure including facilities power delivery, cooling, physical network, technical operations (deployment, maintenance, support), and building management systems.<BR>?Fundamental knowledge of failure tree analysis, reliability block diagrams, distributed computing and storage architectures, cloud scale LAN/WAN technologies<BR>?Strong understanding and experience with system architecture and optimization with a track record of successful solution delivery.<BR>?Fundamental understanding of software architectures, Microsoft online services, software lifecycle methodology<BR>?Program </font></td>
