Big Data is coming to the biggest software business on the planet and you can be a part of it.<BR>We are looking for an experienced self-starter who can work across a range of problem areas. We have Terabytes of data being collected per day - help us define our data model, drive consistency and reliability into the data, make the datamarts useful to a broad range of consumers, and help us answer key usage and business questions to help us run the business and make SharePoint better. This is a highly strategic position that will build the Data Science capability of our service from the ground up - a chance to get in on the ground floor and make a huge impact.<BR>The candidate should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in concise and effective manner. Technical aptitude (C#, SQL), Familiarity with common data mining and statistical packages is a must. As well, the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences.<BR>KeyResponsibilities include:Understand various business intelligence systems, tools, reports and data sets to generate business insights that improve the product, business processes and/or data quality Perform complex analysis on very large data sets using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques Apply basic statistical concepts and techniques to analyze experiments and user behavior Present findings and recommendations to key decision makers at various management levels Deliver on ambiguous projects with multiple stakeholders, unclear requirements and incomplete data Provide input to engineering teams on new analytical capabilities needed Requirements: Degree in quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering/technology with an emphasis on statistical analysis, or equivalent experience<BR>Familiarity with standard statistical techniques: Monte Carlo simulation, Markov Chain analysis, Bayesian networks, Experience with Large-Scale Storage systems (e.g. Hadoop) Hands on experience with Microsoft BI Stack: T-SQL scripting, SSIS, MDX, SSRS/PowerView and C#<BR><BR><BR>MOD:SPT<BR>MOD:ENG                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                </font></td>
