This is a unique opportunity within Microsoft to support the growing hardware consumer devices business.  This is a very visible position that works closely with key decision makers in MSCIS Operations. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, the ability to effectively partner across various parts of the organization, a strong grounding in financial fundamentals and principles, and the ability to explain the business beyond the accounting numbers." The successful candidate will not only understand manufacturing cost accounting principles and be able to apply them to this business space, he/she will be able to identify and drive business opportunities through financial analysis and business partnering.<BR><BR>Some specificResponsibilities include:<BR>Detailed Cost Analysis<BR>o Produce forecasted returns and refurbishment (R&R) cost models<BR>o Develop and socialize the framework for R&R cost analysis<BR>o Develop/drive/document analysis methodology that provides business insight to the operations.<BR>o Produce and present monthly operating results and analyses with the focus on actual results and Rest of Year impact.<BR>Budget/Forecast<BR>o Assist in delivering a timely Forecast and Budget, including analysis of Forecast/Budget vs. R&O''s<BR>o Support P&L Reporting team through the understanding of budget/forecast R&R drivers<BR>o Partner with operations to develop and improve forecast processes that aligns with their performance management.<BR>Initiatives<BR>o Create financial models in support of new initiatives (e.g., new business opportunities, volume allocations)<BR>o Actively participate on key initiative teams<BR>o Provide deep financial and business insight<BR>The person in this role will be expected to play a key role in the evolution of the MSCIS Finance team, in terms of input into team strategy, development of infrastructure roadmap and identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities.<BR><BR>Qualifications<BR>- Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent required<BR>- Financial experience in a manufacturing-heavy business space (7+ years) required<BR>- Demonstrated financial analysis experience in relevant business space (e.g., procurement, manufacturing, consumer products) required<BR>- Experience with manufacturing and/or supply chain information systems strongly desired<BR>- Familiarity with internal Microsoft tools (MS Sales, Mercury, etc.) a plus<BR>- Excellent PC skills, particularly in Excel are required.
