               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>Title:  </b>Food Bank Coordinator<BR><b>Department:  </b>Client Services<BR><b>Location:  </b>Redmond and Kirkland, WA<BR><b>Compensation: </b>$13.42 - $15.00 per hour DOE<BR><b>Benefits: </b>Full benefits available<BR><b>Work Schedule: </b>Full time, Monday - Friday; evening hours twice per month<BR><b>Open: </b>October 10th 2012<BR><b>Closes:  </b>When filled<BR><BR><b>Summary: </b><BR><BR>The Food Bank Coordinator provides coordination of the food program at a specific center; provides guidance, direction, and supervision to volunteer staff. Responsible for weekly ordering of fresh and non-perishable food from multiple sources, maintains food bank inventory and overall cleanliness of food bank. Performs client intake, determines client eligibility, and provides appropriate information and referral. <BR><BR><b>Esssential Functions: </b><BR>-Responsible for the operation of the food bank (day & evening food banks), including set-up, operation and clean up. <BR>-Maintains food inventory; knowledgeable about current food supplies and rotation of stock. <BR>-Responsible for weekly ordering of fresh and non-perishable food from multiple sources. <BR>-Supervises and oversees food pick-ups at grocery stores; acts as backup driver as needed. <BR>-Recruits, trains, organizes, assigns, and supervises volunteers. Schedules volunteers to ensure necessary support of food bank operations. <BR>-Interacts with donors and helps organize community food drives. Greets donors; accepts cash and in-kind donations; issues receipts as needed. <BR>-Maintains cleanliness and order of the food bank. <BR>-Conducts initial phone screening with potential clients and obtains all relevant information. During intake appointment, determines eligibility for services such as food, housing, temporary shelter, and utilities. <BR>-Develops strong knowledge of available services within Hopelink. Supports Integrated Service Delivery goal by connecting client with other appropriate Hopelink services. Ensures follow-up with clients referred by internal Hopelink programs in order to provide continuous, integrated service delivery. <BR>-Develops working knowledge of available services in the larger community. Provides information and referrals to other community resources and programs for visitors and clients. <BR>-Maintains and updates paper and electronic client files as needed including direct data entry of client information during intake. <BR>-Assists Center Manager in data collection and preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual summary reports. <BR>-Communicates respectfully with people of all cultures, languages, ages, genders, gender preferences, races, physical abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and religions. <BR>-Maintains a professional and positive working relationship with clients, vendors, volunteers, donors, and fellow staff and adheres to the Hopelink Standards of Conduct. <BR>-Regular, daily attendance and punctuality is essential to our business and to this position. <BR><BR><b>Required Qualifications: </b><BR>-Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. <BR>-Ability to lift 60 pounds repetitively. <BR><BR><b>Preferred Qualifications: </b><BR>-Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Services, Business, or related field. <BR>-Two years experience working with low-income families. <BR>-Bi-lingual skills helpful (Spanish preferred). <BR><BR><b>Licenses, Certificates and other requirements: </b><BR>-Valid Washington State driver's license. <BR>-Reliable personal transportation. <BR>-Proof of personal automobile liability insurance. <BR>-Must pass criminal background check through the Washington State Patrol.</font></td>
