The Microsoft Translator team is a very strong technical team that builds and runs the second largest automatic translation service on the Web, and is looking for an experienced Research Developer Engineer who can lead the Machine Translation Quality team and help it claim the top position.<BR>We are a small and dedicated group, focused on delivering the best quality translations for our users and internal and external partners. With direct access to the NLP and Machine Translation researchers in the group, we incubate, implement and deliver the newest technologies without delay. Entrepreneurship, passion, and self-drive are important qualities for the candidate to succeed in the team.<BR><BR>Do you have experience in any of the following?<BR>- Statistical Machine Translation, Machine Learning, and Computational Linguistics<BR>- Statistical Modeling<BR>- Search and Web crawling<BR>- Working on complex and state-of-the-art NLP or MT projects<BR><BR>Do you have a passion for any of these?<BR>- Innovative algorithms<BR>- Novel data mining approaches<BR>- Natural Languages and Natural Language Processing<BR><BR>Come join our team!<BR><BR>Qualification for this challenging position are:<BR>- Master or PhD in Machine Translation, Computational Linguistics, Speech Recognition or equivalent industry experience;<BR>- Proven experience leading a team of researchers and engineers in industry or academic setting;<BR>- Ability to promote and foster collaborations across groups, and work on multiple projects simultaneously;<BR>- Strong communication skills to drive progress;<BR>- Formidable mentoring and coaching skills;<BR>- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes frequent releases;<BR>- Deep knowledge of C# or equivalent programming language.
