Plans quality requirements and specifications for suppliers.<BR>Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):<BR>40% - Utilizes engineering background and expertise to communicate between team members and supplier counterparts to provide assurance that the hardware is compliant to specifications. Handles and communicates deviations/nonconformances at different levels within the organization. Understands and communicates typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc.) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured. Acts as a team member with procurement and component engineering to engage critical suppliers to enable them to be successful. Mentors less senior quality engineers.<BR><BR>20% - Applies modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to aerospace and manufacturing operation, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.<BR><BR>20% - Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer''s expectations.<BR><BR>20% - Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for customer/supplier review throughout the evaluation process. Reviews all supplier data and ensures that it is complete and accurate.<BR>Requirements:<BR>Requires a Bachelor''s in an engineering or other related discipline and nine years of related experience. Exposure to space electronics or electronic product development in a multi-functional team environment is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, all levels of employees, suppliers, and customers. Ability to accommodate 25% travel. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person. </font></td>
