Are you passionate about making the online world a safer place? If so then the Online Services Security & Compliance (OSSC) team has an opportunity for you. Currently the OSSC Security Incident Management team is seeking a motivated, self-driven Security Analyst to be part of the Security Incident Management team.<BR><BR>The Security Incident Management team is responsible for the management of both internal and external security incidents, security device event management (firewalls, IDS, IPS), and systems forensic investigations. This role also includes forming close partnerships with other Microsoft teams.<BR><BR>The role handles events that have been classified as incidents, and are to be engaged with investigative rigor, including log analysis, forensic review of file systems on affected systems, malware analysis, etc. while adhering to the strict academic definition of incident response. Collateral duties include review of audited events and interrogation of the appropriate systems/devices to conduct deeper follow-up to identify further events.<BR><BR>Specific functions include:<BR>- Monitor & respond to security events, potential vulnerabilities, exposures, and policy compliance issues.<BR>- Provide security incident response and management, investigation, and consultation until issue closure.<BR>- Evaluate security advisories for their impact to the Online Services environment.<BR>- Provide and interpret monthly security service reporting data.<BR>- Evaluate security risks and their impact to the Microsoft online services environment.<BR>- Create technical documentation such as TSG''s, FAQs and SOPs.<BR><BR>Qualifications include:<BR>- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Security Risk and Threat Assessment methodologies.<BR>- Strong Windows and network analysis skills required<BR>- Forensic and *nix skills ideal.<BR>- In-depth understanding of highly complex internet-based systems.<BR>- A strong technical computer science background/degree.<BR>- The ability to analyze problems and make appropriate decisions quickly.<BR>- Ability to drive large, complex programs and solutions.<BR>- Excellent interpersonal and group dynamic skills.<BR>- Strong written & verbal communication and presentation.<BR>- CISSP and/or GIAC certification is required.<BR><BR>Successful Completion of a Background and Credit check is </font></td>
