Our portfolio is built and managed by a team of subject matter experts working 24x7x365 to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 76 markets worldwide.<BR><BR>The Microsoft GFS Security Governance and Architecture team is looking for a highly passionate and talented individual to help identify, triage, design and drive the mitigations and problem solutions to gaps and security issues across the infrastructure supporting Microsoft Online Services. As a part of the Security Governance and Architecture team you will play a key role in ensuring that risks are appropriately dispositioned and managed to closure. SGA helps manage a coordinated governance program that tactically and strategically addresses risks and exposures through controls and architecture. We help ensure that teams have the right, risk-based information needed for improving the operational and infrastructure security of the online services that Microsoft deploys to datacenters and the cloud.<BR><BR>Roles & Responsibilities<BR>As a Principal Security Engineer on this team, you''ll be working across multiple internal Microsoft teams, external service providers, and vendors to ensure that information assurance is appropriately considered, gaps are identified and recommendations presented as GFS grows and its customers evolve. This role requires being able to take complex security issues and summarize them in a way that we can inform and influence key leaders and subject matter experts on mitigation plans. You will lead and participate in the operational engineering of key strategic initiatives and projects that improve security for Microsoft Online Services infrastructure and are usable by online business groups including Microsoft Global Foundation Services, Windows Azure, and Office 365. You will also work across multiple GFS operational service teams, Microsoft product teams, and external service provider and vendors to coordinate the overall operational engineering services provided by the Control and Process Improvement team. You will identify issues, triage these issues within the existing security landscape, and recommend remediation efforts. Microsoft Online Services and GFS are growing fast and you will be instrumental in ensuring the right commercial and custom products and solutions are developed and implemented to meet the security needs accompanying this growth.
