               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Position Title: Sr. Engineering Technician<BR><BR>Position Description: Candidate will need to understand, plan and execute testing and troubleshooting activities in accordance with policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements. The candidate will also complete parts lists, checks drawings, generates and processes engineering/document change requests, notices, and/or orders and other general engineer tasking with direction from Engineers. Responsible for low level design activities including cable design, ICD generation, and non-complex circuit layout/brass boarding. Utilizes standard laboratory test equipment including; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions. Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including; assembly drawings and schematics. Works with various levels of the system (from the board and component level, to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems. The candidate should have proven credible software experience and demonstrate an interest in learning and taking on new challenges.<BR><BR>Qualifications: <BR><BR>10 years' experience <BR>Ability to kit out and maintain an R&D laboratory <BR>RF Test/ Measurement experience with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and power meters (up to 30 GHz) <BR>Instrument control and data acquisition using either Matlab, Labview or Python <BR>ESD control measures <BR>PCB layout <BR>Embedded system experience <BR>Electronics assembly to IPC-A-610 <BR>Python, Matlab, LabView, C/C++, C# or Java <BR>RF amplifier characterization including gain, IP3, P1dB and noise figure <BR>Antenna measurement/characterization experience including pattern gain and noise temperature<BR><BR>About Protingent: Protingent is a niche provider of top Engineering and IT talent to Software, Electronics, Medical Device, Telecom and Aerospace companies nationwide.
