To achieve that EPG takes its Data Platform Sales motion to the next level of customer breakthrough. This transformation is led by the WW Data Platform Sales team reporting into the GM of WW Server & Cloud Sales.<BR><BR>The described role will own cross segment (EPG & SMS&P) Sales responsibility for our entire Data Platform business, including SQL Server, BizTalk Server and Azure. The role carries responsibility for a $3B+ business that is executed by our local field teams consisting of ~280 SSPs Platform, ~260 Principal Platform Specialists (PPS), ~50 specialist sales managers (SSM) ~170 TSPs Data Platform, Integration & BI. The WW Data Platform Sales Lead will be responsible for achieving Microsoft''s revenue quotas around these offerings by providing strategic sales leadership for the above mentioned sales teams. To be successful, the role owner will have to exercise strong leadership skills to influence Microsoft''s broader field, and be responsible for: helping to define the field sales strategy, managing the execution of the resulting strategy, and maintaining a healthy pipeline as measured by a monthly scorecard. The role owner will also ensure that sellers are skilled and ready. This will require ongoing connections with the sales community, business groups, and SMSG stakeholders.<BR>The role requires a unique combination of superior sales, business, marketing and operational expertise. This position reports directly to the Director, WW Data Platform Sales.<BR><BR>The primary accountabilities are:<BR><BR>1) Achieve or exceed Worldwide Enterprise scorecard and revenue goals for Data Platform through a mix of strategy definition, field leadership, and direct customer engagement, and drive market share gains for key solutions against major industry competitors, while showing customer preference and adoption of solutions over purely licensing led approaches. More specifically, oversee sales management, including sales planning, forecasting, pipeline and reviews. Participate in strategic and/or escalated sales opportunities.<BR><BR>2) Lead and enable the Data Platform field community around the world, including the BG leads, Solution Specialists, Technical Specialists, Services Executives, Subsidiary Sales Leads and the leadership representation from around the world (SSLT).
