Candidates must have 3-5 years? experience supporting Server and SAN technologies; or equivalent combination of related experience and education. Knowledge of one or more of the following: File server virtualization solutions; Storage Area Network hardware and software solutions; Client and server operating systems; PC, and file server hardware; Configuration Management Processes; and Project management skills is required. Candidates will have the ability to apply troubleshooting & problem solving techniques on complex integration issues.<BR>Desired skills Candidates with 8+ years of experience in workstation/server environment or an equivalent combination of related experience and education are preferred. Experience in supporting VMWare, NetApp, Windows Operation Systems, DELL hardware (workstation and server) in a large PC LAN environment, and experience performing requirements definition and alternatives analysis on IT hardware and/or software systems are preferred.<BR>Specific Job Description The successful candidate will work within a dynamic technical team that serves multiple government agencies. Each team member is expected to be self-motivated and self-directed in performing assigned duties. Members of the team are assigned responsibility in their area of focus. Must have the ability to define and analyze system requirements, assist with systems design. Understand and follow established engineering practices (Configuration Management, Change Control, Acceptance Testing, etc). Prepare and present written and oral presentation to technical and management staff covering the technology aspects and status of projects. Some travel may be required. Specific duties will focus on Unix, Linux, and Windows server operations as well as Storage Area Network operations and maintenance.
