               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">MID-LEVEL CHEMIST/FULL- TIME (Y) 222S-01-12<BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><BR>Several mid-level chemist positions are available at the 222-S Laboratory, a DOE laboratory specializing in the analysis of highly radioactive samples to support technology development and operations of waste tanks remediation project.  As a production analytical laboratory, 222-S Lab analyzes samples for organics, inorganics, radionuclides, and other chemical and physical characteristics.  Cross training and multiple tasking are essential.  We create opportunities for chemists who want to learn and advance by hard work.  Basic duties of a mid-level chemist include those of a separations chemist and a spectroscopy analysis or instrument troubleshooting chemist. Candidate must be able to qualify as radiological worker.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>All qualifications and experience appearing in the job description and below are mandatory, AND MUST BE REFLECTED IN YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED.<BR>*Master degree in chemistry or relevant field of study (or equivalent combination education and experience).<BR>*3-5 years job experience in a laboratory environment with successive increase in levels of responsibility.<BR>*Demonstrates high level of expertise in a chemistry, physics, biology or a related technical disciplines.  Clients and project managers consult when technical questions arise.  <BR>*Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<BR>*Demonstrated ability to prepare technical presentations.<BR>*Candidate must be knowledgeable about Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word and Excel).<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>At least four positions available with different cross-training opportunities and performance goals:<BR>*One position will require strong interest in management information management, data mining, statistics, information technology, customized software applications, database administration and serves as the contract of information technology and cyber security requirements of the contract. Provide and coordinate management information including, scheduling, application development, metric development and maintenance, analytical workload tracking, and technical software support as needed for the contract. <BR>*Second position requires mature and in-depth understanding of analytical chemistry and data usability to serve as a Project Coordinator/Project Manager.  Provide interface and cost estimate for customers, including initial contact regarding analytical needs and services.  Familiar with chemistry and site direction to assist customer analytical needs and determine the laboratorys ability to perform the analytical service and assist in preparing analytical request.  Review data for quality and completeness and issue final report to the customer.<BR>*Third position requires knowledge in chemical management and pollution prevention.  Knowledge of waste codes, RCRA TSD compliance, OSHA MSDS, industrial hygiene or preparing inter-laboratory comparison standards.<BR>*Fourth position requires knowledge and interest in troubleshooting spectroscopy instrumentation, design and applications of new technology in a production environment, development of new methods, and ability to prepare or communicate streamlined analytical procedures.<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Monday through Friday/7am to 4pm<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>DOQ/Benefit Package<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE:</b><BR>The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired or at the direction of the employer.<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY:</b><BR>YOU WILL NEED A  TARGETED RESUME.  RESUME SHOULD RELECT QUALIFICATION LISTED IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS.  ALONG WITH RESUME YOU NEED TO HAVE A LETTER OF INTEREST, CONTAINING POSITION TITLE AND JOB OPPORTUNITY NUMBER (222S-01-12).  YOU CAN THEN APPLY ON LINE AT          WWW.ATLINTL.COM<BR><BR>If you are referred to this position, your name will be shared with the employer for verification and follow up purposes.<BR><BR><BR></font></td>
