Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance upon hire.<BR>Desired skills BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2 to 4 years demonstrated experience with network backbone and transport systems, wireless, network management development and operations, security background, Cisco infrastructure components, DNS, LINUX, and/or UNIX skills is preferred. Candidate should have experience with networking principles, TCP/IP, network security, and network switches, wireless, routers. Cisco voice/video experience is a plus. CNNA or other network certifications are highly desirable.<BR>Specific Job Description This position is contingent upon award of contract. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing engineering design and operations support in compliance with established work processes and design standards. Incumbent will perform network and security operations, comprehensive engineering development support producing engineering design packages, consulting support as required, performing security audits and developing security resolutions plans/reports and documents. In addition to the above, work scope includes performing system evaluations, producing construction specifications, and lead engineering an management for medium to large size telecommunication projects. Perform work assigned by manager with a positive attitude interacting with customer, co-workers and management adapting to a team environment that utilizes process management concepts and work methods within a project management and ITIL disciplines. Travel may be required depending on program/project scope.<BR>Standard Job Description Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design.
