Locations will vary based on project needs, and include Frederick, MD, Houston, TX and Reston, VA, among others.<BR><BR><BR><BR>General Job Duties<BR><BR><BR><BR>Engineers at Bechtel prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, plans and requisitions of structures, systems and equipment. They also review design documents from equipment suppliers. Mechanical engineers are typically responsible for:<BR><BR><BR><BR>Design calculations and equipment sizing <BR><BR>System pressure and flow calculations <BR><BR>Material takeoffs and estimating support <BR><BR>Design specifications <BR><BR>Material requisitions <BR><BR>Supplier interface <BR><BR>Construction support <BR><BR>Piping and instrumentation diagrams <BR><BR>Conducting computer aided design (CAD) & computer aided engineering (CAE) <BR><BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR><BR><BR>Basic knowledge of engineering design, systems, calculations, along with application of engineering methods and construction methods & materials <BR><BR>Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from accredited college or University, completed no later than Spring 2013 and no more than 12 months prior to Spring 2013 <BR><BR>Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship <BR><BR>Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites <BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR><BR><BR>Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from accredited college or University, completed no later than Spring 2013 and no more than 12 months prior to Spring 2013 <BR><BR>Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA <BR><BR>Prior co-op or internship experience <BR><BR>Excellent written and oral communication skills <BR><BR>The vision to build a better world<BR><BR><BR><BR>Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
