The overall goal of this position is provide guidance to Research & Development and Management & Operations customers in the establishment of effective software/data Quality and Assurance processes and practices  resulting in a positive impact on the management of software and data risk at the Lab-level. <BR>The specific function of this position is to: <BR>*Provide Quality & Assurance services to internal projects<BR><BR>- including those that use, develop, or deliver data/software.<BR><BR>These services include: <BR>*Quality Assurance Planning <BR>*Risk Assessment and Mitigation <BR>*Data Quality Assurance for analytical modeling<BR>*Performance Management  Metrics Design/Analysis <BR>*Application of appropriate standards to products (CMMI, IEEE, etc)<BR>*Process Improvement <BR>*Project Management support<BR>*Ensure the effective deployment and implementation of the Quality requirements at PNNL  including Software QA. <BR>Requirements:<BR>To accomplish this function, the incumbent will possess the following skills and capabilities: <BR>*Understanding of, and skill applying, software and data quality assurance principles to research and development projects, to assure the accuracy and reproducibility of analytical results. <BR>*Strong understanding of quality management methodologies, especially as applied to data and software, including: <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Risk assessment and quality assurance planning.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Establishing control and measurement points to ensure quality. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Assessing processes to determine compliance/effectiveness/efficiency. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Analyzing complex data sets to discover performance trends and insights. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Reporting performance to leadership at various levels. <BR>*Understanding of the analytical modeling process, especially the quality assurance of complex scientific/business software models, including: <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Planning for control/quality assurance of the modeling effort. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Documenting analytical models to a level that ensures reproducibility. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Controlling model/data acquisition configuration to ensure the integrity of the results. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Validating/verifying the model/infrastructure to ensure the accuracy of the results. <BR>*Understanding of general quality improvement methodologies is preferred, including: <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Process modeling and analysis. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*6-Sigma improvement methodology. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Total Quality Management principles. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>*Lean principles. <BR>*Demonstrates strong communication skills in support of translating quality strategy or requirements into specific goals and performance objectives<BR>The position is expected to interact effectively with personnel at various levels within PNNL (ALD, PMO Directors, Division Directors, COOs, Operations Managers, Program Managers,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  </font></td>
