Bachelor?s degree in Math, Science, engineering or other relevant technical degree and 6 years of progressive, relevant experience.<BR>? In lieu of a degree, 12 years of progressive, relevant experience.<BR>? Relevant experience should include working in and delivering successful products in the functional areas of nuclear safety (i.e. hazards analysis, accident analysis, control selection, etc.) in DOE/DOD or other complex facilities.<BR><BR>Minimum Qualifications<BR><BR>? Experience in developing accident analysis for DOE Complex Facilities and ability to describe past work performed in the functional area of safety analysis.<BR>? Ability to devise, document, and successfully defend unique solutions to unique problems.<BR>? Experience translating accident analysis into the content of a Documented Safety Analysis and Technical Safety Requirements.<BR>? Must be able to complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.<BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>? Experience with DOE policies, orders, standards, and guides that pertain to nuclear safety.<BR>? Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team to deliver high-quality work products on schedule.<BR>? Commercial nuclear experience in areas directly relevant to this position will be considered in lieu of direct DOE experience at the discretion of the hiring organization<BR>? Proficient in use of Microsoft office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)<BR>? Prior experience with DOE ToolBox code applications.<BR>? Prior experience with the application of software quality assurance procedures to safety-related software.<BR>? Experience defending work products to customers and other regulatory agencies.<BR>? High level of organizational ability; ability to work in a fast-paced environment<BR>? EIT, CIH or other related professional certification.<BR>? Possess the legal right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Job Description: The Senior Accident Analyst will be responsible for assessing hazards analysis information, developing and checking accident analysis calculations, performing control selection and assessing the impact of the selected controls on unmitigated accident analysis results. The work associated with this position will be formally documented to form the basis of the documented safety analysis for the facilities of the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP). Work may be performed in support of any or all of the WTP facilities.<BR><BR><BR><BR>The candidate selected for this position will also be expected to present information verbally or in writing to groups internal and external to the project team.
