<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Access Services Technician<BR>Location: Washington-Seattle<BR>Job Number:_20229<BR>Providence is calling an Intake Assistant to Providence Senior Community Services Divisional Services in Seattle, WA.<BR><BR>We are seeking a customer-oriented and effective communicator to direct and assist customers in any way possible to meet their home health needs.<BR><BR><BR>In this position you will:<BR>* Assist with initial and ongoing communications/coordination between hospice and private insurance companies or Department of Social and Health Services to ensure that patient benefits are negotiated and understood at the onset of care and that the necessary ongoing communication requirements of private insurance companies and DSHS are fulfilled.<BR>* Verify patient eligibility for the Medicare and/or Medicaid Hospice Benefit.<BR>* Work closely with other Intake Staff to ensure responsiveness to referral sources with the appropriate follow through.<BR>* Complete intermittent Hospice/Quality Assurance projects.<BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR>* High school diploma or GED.<BR>* Experience with computer programs, and good keyboarding skills.<BR>* Excellent written and oral communications skills.<BR>* Demonstrated organizational, communication and record keeping skills.<BR>* Experience using Micorsoft Word and Excel.<BR><BR>Preferred qualifications for this position include:<BR>* Bachelor?s degree in Social or Health Services or equivalent experience.<BR>* 2 years experience with an working in an electronic medical record.<BR><BR>About the ministry you will serve.<BR>Providence Hospice of Seattle is a not-for-profit, community-based hospice ministry serving patients in their places of residence throughout King County in Washington state.
