               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute is seeking an Animal Technician to assist our biomedical research program by managing the laboratory's mouse colony. <BR><BR><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b><BR>•Breed, wean and mate mice as needed; assist with genotyping.<BR>•Manage mouse colony records.<BR>•Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood and tissue collections, and routine laboratory procedures such as diet, weight, medication and food intake.<BR>•Assist with injections and surgery including anesthesia, inoculations, shaving, clipping, grooming, and general care of animals after operations.<BR>•Coordinate mouse colony research and activities with PNRI vivarium manager and staff.<BR>•Assist PNRI vivarium staff in managing the animal colony, including monitoring health status and checking for signs of illness.<BR><BR></b>Qualifications:</b><BR>•Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology or related field required.
