Any offer of employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug test and background check.<BR>Title CUSTOMER DATA TECHNICIAN<BR>Req ID 7852BR<BR>Posting Location WA,SEATTLE<BR>Business Unit RMG - Northwest Region<BR>Position Classification Represented<BR>Job Description <BR><BR>* Provisions, installs, and maintains DS0/DS1/DS3 and above circuits.<BR><BR>* Conducts tests associated with the installation, repair, turn-up of T1 and HDSL spans for Hi-Cap and T1 Circuits.<BR><BR>* Resolves customer issues and problems; insure customer satisfaction; and insures service is working to specifications before closing job.<BR><BR>* Utilizes various testing devices such as laptops, T-berd 209OSP/2209, 965DSP, HST 3000, Volt-ohm-meter and metallic measuring device.<BR><BR>* When installing or repairing circuits, connects equipment to inside cable and makes cross connection in remote terminals, cross boxes and at the customer premise.<BR><BR>* Connects, repairs and rearranges cable conductors in utility holes.<BR><BR>* Locates, connects, repairs and rearranges cable and cable conductors in building and aerial or buried plant.<BR><BR>* Performs trouble isolation of transport, customer and company communications components, cable and infrastructure from the customer''s premise up to and including the central office/loop runner equipment.<BR><BR>* Interfaces with other work groups to ensure that committed service test dates and times are met, and to test the integrity of service prior to customer release.<BR><BR>* Works directly with customers to insure that services and applications are working properly and are in conformance to specifications.<BR><BR>* May occasionally be called upon to work in the POTS and/or Central Office environment.<BR><BR>* All other duties as assigned<BR>Job Requirements <BR><BR>* Previous experience in provisioning, installing, and Maintaining DS0/DS1/DS3 and above circuits.<BR><BR>* Previous experience conducting tests associated with the installation, repair, turn-up of T1 and HDSL spans for Hi-Cap and T1 Circuits.<BR><BR>* Copper and fiber outside plant.<BR><BR>* Basic electricity knowledge (through classes or on the job related training) including: reading & interpreting circuit diagrams, equipment drawings, & technical manuals, AC/DC usage and measurements.<BR><BR>* Experience working in teams or alone problem solving, coordinating testing and troubleshooting customer lines or toll lines.<BR><BR>* Ability to read cable prints and maps.<BR><BR>* Ability to read and understand design services word docs.<BR><BR>* Experience working independently with little supervision.<BR><BR>* Experience meeting work deadlines.<BR><BR>* Customer Service experience face-to-face and over the phone.<BR><BR>* Ability to use a laptop as a testing and diagnostic tool.<BR><BR>* Previous experience working with WFA.<BR><BR>* Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment such as Tberds, laptop, HST 3000, 965 DSP, Sidekick, Volt-ohm meter, oscilloscopes, transmission measuri </font></td>
