The role will report to the Data Center Manager of Partner Operations for the given territory, and is a member of the Cisco Architecture Partner Organization. The primary focus of this role is to lead the Data Center GTM with our US Partners for the assigned geography. This individual will have primary responsibility for the development and on-going support of the following key business initiatives between our US Partners and Cisco; Executive relationships, field alignment/engagement, partner enablement, sales training, opportunity development (sales mentoring, strategic sales calls, cold calling, etc.), marketing and demand generation, pipeline development, and coordination of cross functional activity. Partner Enablement will be focused on the following Cisco technologies: Unified Computing, Data Center Switching, Storage Area Networking and Server Load Balancing. The successful candidate will align development plans with our data center technology''s go to market strategy, develop strategies and metrics to drive solution sales and leverage experience from other theaters and accounts to bring best practices to the local team for the acceleration of the adoption of Cisco''s Virtualization Architecture.<BR><BR>In addition to working independently across many of the Cisco functional areas; Partners, Direct Sales, Business Unit, Strategic Alliances, and Marketing, the candidate must demonstrate an ability to excel within a team environment. The ability to develop and sustain virtual teams is essential. The candidate should exhibit strong sales skills, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.<BR><BR>Skills Required:<BR>? 10 years sales and business development experience in server / virtualization sales<BR>? Minimum 10 years compute industry experience working for or with Dell, HP, Sun, IBM, or other leading compute industry manufacturer required<BR>? Applications experience with Oracle RAC, Sharepoint, Exchange and SAP preferred<BR>? Partner sales and marketing experience working with the US reseller partner in the storage, server, and virtualization marketplace preferred<BR>? Knowledge of Data Center Server and Virtualization market trends<BR>? Understanding of Cloud Computing preferred<BR>? Understanding of Server Operating Systems preferred<BR>? VMware Certification preferred<BR>? Strong Communication Skills<BR>? Strong Financial background in developing ROI and TCO justifications<BR>? Strong influencing skills<BR>? Ability to work closely across both sales and technology groups<BR>? Excellent written communications and presentation skills<BR>?
