We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our Worldwide Trade department as the Director of Food Safety. This is an exciting opportunity to own a highly visible project, managing food and over-the-counter (OTC) Product Safety, and be part of a vibrant and fast-growing company!<BR><BR>Key Responsibilities<BR><BR><BR>* Influence others and derive win/win? solutions<BR>* Develop Best Practices for the receipt, storage, transportation and disposal of food and over-the-counter products<BR>* Communicate industry standards and identify continuous improvement opportunities<BR>* Leverage technology to drive process improvements<BR>* Create and deploy internal training of procedures<BR>* Develop sustainable processes to audit consumables safety<BR>* Create and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness<BR>* Lead internal communication with Amazon?s grocery and drugstore retail teams, legal, fulfillment center operations and related technology teams<BR>* Assess market and business opportunities and define business and feature requirements<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* Bachelor?s Degree in related field<BR>* 5+ years of experience managing Food Safety in aRetailenvironment<BR>* 10+ years of experience in Food Safety Program Management<BR>* 5+ years of people management within compliance/audit teams<BR>* Process Improvement experience in a lean organization<BR>* Demonstrated experience creating sustainable processes<BR>* Knowledge of government regulations (FDA, USDA)<BR>* Creativity and demonstrated leadership with superior analytical abilities<BR>* Ability to think lateral across multiple teams to craft efficient processes<BR>* Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture<BR>* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* MBA or related advanced degree<BR>* Six Sigma experience/training<BR>* Highly analytical and data driven, able to see the big picture<BR>* Structured, precise, able to deal with complexity<BR>* Fast pace problem solver, sense of urgency, walks the talk?<BR>* Adaptable, at ease in fast-changing environments<BR>* eCommerce experience                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      </font></td>
