The person in this role will bring clinical expertise and knowledge of patient care, operational processes, and information systems and clinical informatics requirements to the design, specification, implementation and evaluation of the UW Medicine Electronic Medical Record (EMR).<BR><BR><BR>* Position focus is on Cerner PowerChart applications and/or other segments comprising the Online Record of clinical Activity (ORCA) such as iVIEW, FirstNet, Maternity and CPOE.<BR><BR>* Leads or assists with project coordination and project management, requirements gathering, definition of current and future state workflow, development of specifications, test scenario development, test script development, application testing and user acceptance testing.<BR><BR>* The EMR Clinical Informatics Analyst has detailed knowledge of the maintenance and administration of applications used by multiple customer groups, including software change control.<BR><BR>* Responsible for application troubleshooting, analysis of processes impacted or created by use of the applications, determining application solutions for operational needs and functional expertise from a user perspective.<BR><BR>Functions across multiple UW Medicine entities (HMC, UWMC, SCCA) with indepth knowledge of UWMC.<BR><BR>* The EMR Clinical Informatics Analyst functions as an expert user with both clinical and application expertise and serves as a cross-functional, knowledgeable, single point of contact for clinical staff and project management.<BR><BR>* Leads and facilitates multidisciplinary health care teams in the specification and implementation of the EMR to support the continuum of care across UW Medicine.
