Gates Sr., under the direction of Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett.<BR>Group Summary The Finance and Strategy group is responsible for implementing and maintaining operating procedures designed to ensure rigorous stewardship of the foundation''s financial resources. We oversee the business processes that govern the foundation’s basic grantmaking and risk management; evaluate and improve the impact of the foundation''s grantmaking; and produce accurate and transparent financial analyses and reports. We also coordinate public-private partnerships across the different grantmaking areas to optimize effectiveness and share best practices, and we drive a number of special initiatives related to planning for substantial increases in long-term payout and overall growth.<BR>Responsibilities <BR><BR>The US Program Financial Associate will assist in developing, communicating and monitoring the financial and operational results for the foundation’s US Program area. Work efforts will include supporting the preparation and analysis of business plans, financial statements, models, and tools to support division goals. The Financial Associate will work closely with and advise staff on a wide range of financial, and operational issues, and will serve a critical role in developing and tracking divisions projects, including forecasting of grant and contract spending.<BR>Specific Responsibilities:<BR>· Support budgeting and financial planning, e.g., foundation payout analysis, budgeting process management, and monthly reporting, variance analysis and forecasting.<BR>· Ensure grantee financial performance, e.g., perform budget and annual progress report reviews, financial diligence / grantee guidance throughout grant execution, review grant proposal summaries, evaluate budget forecasts, and assess the financial health of organizations to ensure potential funding meets the Foundation''s grant-seeker requirements, strategic goals, and programmatic missions.<BR>· Provide analytical support on complex analysis with a financial component and for complex financial transactions, including PRIs.<BR>· Provide advice / partnership to PSTs, e.g. portfolio / financial analysis, assessment of financial investments and business plans, evaluation and mitigation of risk, incentive </font></td>
