Gates Sr., under the direction of Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett.<BR>Group Summary The mission of the Global Policy & Advocacy program is to understand and shape the public policy debates affecting the Foundation’s work in developing countries, build support for its major program and policy objectives, and develop partnerships and alliances that can advance the Foundation’s policy objectives nationally and globally. Because the Foundation’s resources alone are not enough to solve the challenges ahead, GPA also supports advocacy efforts to engage diverse stakeholders and promote innovative solutions that advance our program goals. GPA is composed of our International Programs in India, China and Africa; our Europe & Middle East team based in London and our US, Canada & Asia-Pacific team based in Washington, DC; a Program Advocacy team; a Policy Analysis & Financing team; and our Charitable Sector Support team. We work in close partnership with grantees, our colleagues in the Global Health and Global Development Programs, the CEOs office, and Foundation Communications to build the environment in which all people have the opportunity to lead healthy and productive lives.<BR>Responsibilities <BR>The Financial Manager position will assist in developing, communicating, and monitoring the financial and operational results for the foundation’s Communications organization and is a key contributor to the foundations Global Policy and Advocacy''s effectiveness. <BR>Work efforts will include supporting the preparation and analysis of business plans, financial statements, models, and tools to support organizational goals. The Financial Manager will work closely with the Communications team on a wide range of financial, operational, and capital issues, and will serve a critical role in developing and tracking projects, including the submission and presentation of these analyses to FP&A leadership, CCO and Management Teams.<BR>Responsibilities<BR>• Support the Communication''s organization’s annual budget creation and tracking of variances. Assist in creating and modeling departmental budgets by cost center. Produces budget justification analysis utilized by the CCO and Communications Leadership Team to review, prioritize and make decisions on the proposed operating budget </font></td>
