<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Under the supervision of the Director and in accordance with Pioneer Human Services policy, goals and purposes, the Food Service Worker's primary responsibility is to cook and serve food for the residents and staff of PHS Residential Facilities, in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations.<BR><BR>Pioneer Human Services (PHS) is a nationally recognized statewide non-profit organization with over 50 locations providing an integrated array of services to include employment and training, chemical dependency treatment, mental health counseling and corrections services. This position is located in Seattle at our Seattle Pioneer Fellowship House facility.<BR><BR>Essential Duties<BR><BR>• Maintain the kitchen and food storage areas in accordance with all health and safety regulations.<BR>• Store and serve food at the proper temperature.<BR>• Maintain sanitary personal hygiene while working: wash hands, pull hair back, wear hairnet, and don't come in to work when ill.<BR>• Prepare meals in accordance with the posted menu, and serve food in the portions stated on the menu.<BR>• Lift food trays into the warmer.<BR>• Wash and sanitize dishes and pans as needed.<BR>• Leave the kitchen in a clean and orderly sate. This includes cleaning the grill, wiping down all surfaces, storing food away, cleaning the sinks, sweeping and mopping.<BR>• Must be able to access all shelves, counters, and food storage areas of the kitchen safely.<BR>• List all items that are needed, and give that list to staff for ordering.<BR>• Make late plates for residents working late.<BR>• Fill juice, coffee machines, napkin dispensers, and assure that there are plenty of utensils and condiments set out.<BR>• For breakfast, assure plenty of bread, cereals, fruit, peanut butter, butter and jelly are available.<BR>• Pass the test for a Food and Beverage Worker's Permit.<BR>• Times may vary among facilities, but food must be prepared and ready to serve by the time posted that the kitchen is open. Food must then be served until the posted closing time of the kitchen.<BR>• Assure no unauthorized person enters the food preparation area.<BR>• Fill out the Temperature Tracking Sheet and Late Plate Tracking Sheet daily.<BR>• Make staff aware of any shortages or problems in the kitchen.<BR>• The Food Service Worker will work closely with any Program Monitor I's or II's on duty, and may refer questions and relay needs to them.<BR>• Perform other duties as assigned.<BR><BR>Education & Experience<BR><BR>High School diploma or equivalent.<BR>Food and Beverage Worker's Permit.<BR>Ability to handle food in a sanitary manner, and keep food preparation and storage areas clean and well stocked.<BR>Two months of food service experience desired.<BR>Ability to handle comments, criticism and requests politely.<BR>Must be able to work early morning shifts and/or early evening shifts.<BR>Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.<BR><BR>Application Process<BR>Pioneer Human Services is an equal opportunity employer.
