Project the future financial and operational impact on UW Medicine and each of its component entities.<BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR><BR>* Research, comprehend and interpret complex payment methodologies, policy statements, regulations (RWC, WAC) and budgets (proviso and Legislative Bill language) documents.<BR><BR><BR>* Develop analytic approach required to project the impact of changes in government payments methodologies, programs and budgets.<BR><BR><BR>* Collect and integrate detail data from a wide variety of internal and external source systems into standardized database.<BR><BR><BR>* Develop complex analytic models and perform wide variety of analysis.<BR><BR><BR>* Review and report on payment models and analysis created by others (State and Federal agencies).<BR><BR><BR>* Assist in preparing comment letters on proposed changes in health care payment rules and regulations to federal and state agencies and legislative delegations.<BR><BR><BR>* Assist in the development of proposals to federal and state agencies for new or changes to existing supplemental payment programs (Medicaid Disproportionate Share, Medicare Upper Payment Limit), rules and regulations.<BR><BR><BR>* Maintain current knowledge of all changes in facility and professional: diagnostic codes (ICD9), procedure codes (CPT), third party payer and government program billing rules, facility and professional payment methodologies, related contractual and regulatory requirements.<BR><BR><BR>* Identify and communicate financial and operational impact of changes to managers, clinicians and staff through written reports, group and individual presentations and education sessions.<BR><BR><BR>* Respond to ad-hoc queries and support new program development by researching complex billing and regulatory issues, developing and presenting recommendations on required changes in operating policies and procedures to management and providers.<BR><BR><BR>* Perform related duties as assigned.<BR>Requirements:<BR>Bachelor''s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or Finance AND at least five-to-seven years of related experience that demonstrates professional and technical knowledge including financial and policy analysis and a healthcare environment. <BR><BR><BR>* Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Labor and Industries payment policies and procedures.<BR><BR><BR>* Demonstrable online computer skills with PC productivity tools and tu                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
