Summer interns will work on these and related types of products and supporting technology to develop technical skills and experience a hands-on challenging introduction to technical analyst careers within the Boeing Company.<BR><BR>One key technical area, in which Boeing is seeking summer interns, is Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE). Candidates selected for this 2012 technical analyst intern position will be assigned to work under the direction of experienced engineers and technicians within NDE. Interns will be given the opportunity to work with part scanning equipment (e.g. Ultrasound, Eddy Current, Radiography, Infra-Red, and/or Barkhausen) to identify and evaluate material and process defects. Tasks include: equipment scanning operations, reference standard development, data collection and reporting, document and procedure development/revision, lab equipment maintenance and improvement.<BR><BR>Serves under supervision for a specified period within the occupation and skill area that directly relates to their college technical degree.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Experienced in using Microsoft Office products to generate reports and presentations.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Strong mathematics background.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Strong understanding of composite material fabrication processing and potential flaw types.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Strong writing skills.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Ultrasonic Level I training complete (Ultrasonic Level II training complete preferred).<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Basic Qualifications For Consideration<BR><BR>Are you currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year technical degree program?<BR><BR>Do you have education/training and/or work experience in nondestructive inspection?<BR><BR><BR><BR>Typical Education/Experience<BR>High school diploma or GED.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Other Job related information<BR>Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year non-destructive test training program (2nd year student preferred). Candidates should be working towards a technical degree in the field of nondestructive testing techniques.
