Amazon is looking for an action-oriented individual to oversee daily operations within the Global Security Command Center and also act as the lead shift manager providing leadership and guidance for all shifts in the GSCC. This individual will triage, escalate, and manage responses to all events impacting or threatening Amazon.com personnel, property, or assets. The Lead Shift Manager will be the senior decision-making authority within the center, and will help identify, assess and coordinate the communication and response to security related incidents and crisis that may impact our company and its Associates. This includes situational awareness, resiliency, and crisis management operations. The Lead Shift Manager will also have responsibility for the 4 other GSCC Shift Managers working to ensure consistency across all shifts and will have ultimate responsibility for the operations of the Seattle GSCC.<BR><BR>Using proprietary and commercially available sources of information and software, the Lead Shift Manager will monitor risks that could negatively affect Amazon sites worldwide including weather, natural and manmade disasters, and political unrest. The Lead Shift Manager will develop and ensure all shifts are aware of and properly adhere to procedures, related process flow diagrams and Service Level Agreements. In addition, on their shift, and when the Shift Managers on other shifts require support, the Lead Shift Manager will ensure proper initial assessment and also coordinate responses to and communication and reporting about serious workplace incidents including actual and potential work place violence, evacuations, weather risks, etc. This role will also monitor internal and external systems (internet, news-feeds, and other data sources) to identify, assess, and manage communications to team members, regional leaders, affected organizations (external or internal) and stakeholders throughout the incident life-cycle. The Lead Shift Manager will take managerial ownership of their shift and be responsible for implementing standard work in the center, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, that responses are appropriate according to policies and procedures, and for developing and motivating a high performance and dependable team that completes their tasks consistently and accurately.
