               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday<BR><BR>POSITION SUMMARY <BR>Interact via the telephone with patients or insurance carriers to provide information in response to inquiries about accounts and to handle and resolve complaints. Compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes for services rendered via use of computer, calculator, and adding machines. Timely billing for filing of claims for services rendered. Review claims that are rejected/denied/not paid for errors or incorrect filing with the insurance carriers and Medicare. Billing patients for fees deemed to be the patient's responsibility and billing secondary insurance.  Notify patients of delinquent accounts by telephone to solicit payment. Receive payment and post amount to customer's account. Prepare statements if customer fails to respond. Keep records of collection and status of accounts. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.<BR><BR><BR>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <BR>Reasonable Accommodations Statement <BR>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <BR>Essential Functions Statement(s) <BR>• Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts. <BR>• Utilizes ICD-9 and CPT codes to accurately enter data from Clinics and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.<BR>• Communicates with the Clinics to obtain corrected or additional data. <BR>• Reviews and processes EOBs that support payments from insurance carriers, Medicare or patients. Ensures accuracy of claims and fees billed. <BR>• Collects payment for claims and receivables from insurance carriers, Medicare and/or patients.<BR>• Communicates with insurance plans and researches health plans on internet for benefits or types of coverage. <BR>• Reviews and processes HCFA claim forms and identifies errors in billing. <BR>• Provides information by responding to patient inquiries; EANW inquiries, and insurance company requests. <BR>• Posts third party payments to accounts; performs write-offs; moves balances to patient response. <BR>• Accounts receivable follow-up; includes written and verbal correspondence with patients and insurers.<BR>• Make adjustments to and rebill patient accounts.<BR>• Updating of patient insurance information, including memo entry for billing documentation.<BR>• Sort and file correspondence, and perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering correspondence and writing reports. <BR>• Perform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address changes and purging the records of deceased patients. <BR>• Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence. <BR><BR>SKILLS & ABILITIES <BR>Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) <BR>Experience: Two to four years medical billing, including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance billing experience required; Ophthalmology experience a plus<BR>Computer Skills: Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite; basic level in Medinformatix and Medflow a plus<BR>Certificates & Licenses: Medical and Billing Certification preferred<BR>Other Requirements: Understanding of ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS coding classification systems; familiar with medical terminology and its applications, insurance rules and regulations<BR><BR>BENEFITS:<BR>In addition to a great working environment, we offer Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Long-Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Voluntary Supplemental Benefits, Holidays, Vacation/Sick Leave, and Paid Parking or Bus Pass.<BR><BR>HOW TO APPLY:<BR>Apply by Job URL: http://www.eanw.net/Employment.aspx<BR>Apply by E-Mail: jobs@eanw.net<BR>Apply by Mail: 1101 Madison Street, Suite 600, Seattle, WA 98104<BR>Apply by Fax: 206-342-6196</font></td>
