(S)he helps patients and families negotiate and learn to use health and social service systems including accessing DSHS medical and financial programs and their application processes. (S)he acts as liaison for patients and families in communicating with DSHS community service offices and their staff to facilitate Medicaid eligibility, reconsiderations and appeals.
