Under general supervision the ophthalmic technician assists and/or performs complex clinical diagnostic eye examinations and procedures as delegated by the ophthalmology team. The ophthalmic technician uses appropriate clinical judgment for ophthalmology problems including initial assessment for routine and complex appointments; telephone and walk-in triage assessment and assists providers as required for in-clinic procedures. The ophthalmic technician also participates in clinic and selected divisional activities to promote improved patient care delivery, problem solving, communication and professional development for self and others.<BR><BR>Competitive candidates willhave prior ophthalmology clinic experience.<BR><BR>As an employee you will enjoy generous benefits and work/life programs.
