Our highly skilled and dedicated staff share a strong sense of stewardship and take pride in working together to support the University?s teaching, research and public service programs.<BR><BR>Transportation Services has an outstanding opportunity for aParking Supervisor 3to supervise the event staff involved in the planning of duties associated with the operations of Special Events, Arranged Parking and Construction Parking use. Ensures, that all staff have the resources, training and information necessary to effectively provide exceptional customer service for all University of Washington event parking. Acts as liaison between Transportation Services and outside organizations. Supervises and directs the event planning staff including scheduling, training, conducting performance evaluations and, as needed, corrective action.<BR><BR>Complexities<BR>Performs responsibilities under the general direction of the Manager of Special Events and Parking Facilities. Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of supervision, parking rules and regulations, and must be able to function with minimal supervision and direction from management. Acts as an external representative to build and strengthen relationships with University of Washington event patrons, provide customer service, and build collaborative business relationships with event sponsors.<BR><BR>Must possess the ability to make appropriate operational decisions without consultation. Must also have the skills to determine when decisions require strategic consultation horizontally and/or vertically within and across organizational units.
