The Pharmacy Technician 1 assists the Pharmacist in technical activities and performing assigned tasks. All activities of Pharmacy Technicians are performed under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist. <BR>Additional responsibilities may include:<BR>* Fill medications from Pyxis refill sheets for the entire hospital.<BR>* Deliver medications to nursing units and other areas of the hospital.<BR>* Package medications in single-unit packages.<BR>* Restock shelves in the unit dose fill and front counter areas.<BR>* Complete monthly outdate check and cleaning as assigned by Supervisor.<BR>* Fill Ward Stock Requisition sheets for Nursing Units.<BR>* Assist patient with alternate sources of payment.<BR>* Perform bulk compounding of pharmaceuticals from a formula, under the supervision of a Pharmacist.<BR>* Perform computer entry of prescriptions and charge/credit data.<BR>* Triage clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist?s professional judgment.<BR>* Answer inquiries not requiring a pharmacist?s professional judgmen                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      </font></td>
