The Pharmacy Technician 2 will, under general supervision, independently perform a particular facet of technical pharmaceutical purchasing operations. Interact with public on a daily basis.<BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>* Process orders sent to Pharmacy Purchasing from clinics and departments<BR><BR>* Order, receive and deliver drugs and supplies from all vendors. Review invoice receipts and packing slips from all vendors.<BR><BR>* Order material supplies from PMM (Pathways Material Management)<BR><BR>* Order IV solutions<BR><BR>* Clean and maintain leach tanks<BR><BR>* Process billing of pharmaceuticals and supply vendors to other Budget centers and to Grant budgets<BR><BR>* Perform drug borrow/loan with other hospitals in the area. Create and maintain borrow/loan documentation.<BR><BR>* Maintain adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals for UW Medicine. Coordinate the movement of stock items when drugs are in short supply.<BR><BR>* Communicate shortages and backorders to staff as necessary<BR><BR>* Assist with annual review of policies and procedures for the assigned area<BR><BR>* Actively resolve issues identified with daily operations and works with pharmacy staff to solve service related issues when identified.<BR><BR>* Ensure medications in assigned areas is in-date.
