The data analyst is responsible for internal browse metrics and collaborates with the browse development teams to propose and implement strategies for improving the website customer experience based on analytical findings. The data analyst should also implement projects related to improving our browse taxonomies.<BR><BR>Specific responsibilities include:<BR><BR>* Influence website organization priorities and internal business communications based on data analysis<BR>* Take a proactive approach to analyzing and improving metrics to support and inform improvements in website customer experience<BR>* Collaborate with taxonomist teams to make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the online browsing experience.<BR>* Own website analytics, testing, and reporting progress to internal product owners<BR>* Work with historical data and to determine the best combination of search/browse website improvements<BR>* Provide input on suggested business actions based on analytical findings.<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* A bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Informatics), or<BR><BR>* a Master?s degree in Library and Information Sciences, Knowledge Management, Information Management, or<BR><BR>* Equivalent professional experience.<BR>* Proven analytical and quantitative skills (includes the ability to effectively use tools such as Excel and Access) and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases and complete root cause analyses.<BR>* Strong verbal and written communications skills<BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* Background in information science, computer science, or business process analytics<BR>* Ability to analyze and document complex business processes<BR>* Proficiency in SQL<BR>* Understanding of relational database<BR>* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and charts) and<BR>* Experience an aptitude for working with large datasets<BR>* Experience in online retail </font></td>
