               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">LocationSeattle, WA<BR>Security Clearance Required?No Security Clearance Requiredabout security clearance definitions<BR>Position Description<BR>In this position employees will install, maintain, troubleshoot and if necessary, repair ground based airborne communications equipment. Employees will work on HF (High Frequency), VHF (Very High Frequency), UHF (Ultra High Frequency), radio transmitters and receivers, antenna systems and various other equipment used in Boeing Radio Stations by Radio Operators.<BR><BR>Employees will also install, maintain, troubleshoot, and program (as required) radio required support systems. Testing/calibration will include power, frequency, % of modulation and if necessary, specific emission characteristics of transmitters in compliance with FCC (Federal Communication Commission) and NTIA (DoD) regulations.<BR><BR>Employees shall maintain required FCC license (General Radiotelephone Operator s License). Receiver characteristics (i.e. sensitivity, signal to noise ratio) are not regulated, but will be performance tested. Documentation of maintenance performed will be updated in hardcopy or electronic formats as required.<BR>Assist employees of higher classification in diagnostic and system testing. Correct system malfunctions as diagnosed by employees of higher classification. Assist in the design, development and implementation of Radio Station Preventative Maintenance Program. Perform periodic preventative maintenance to comply with manufacturer s recommended maintenance and federal regulations. Coordinate with support services organizations as necessary to ensure video camera, network and telephone systems are working properly to enable flight operations.<BR>Working at heights up to 120 feet is required of this position.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Use various types of precision measuring tools.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Use mathematics including binary, hexadecimal, and octal numbering systems. Use algebra and trigonometry to calculate phase relationships between voltage and current and/or to manipulate existing formulas.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Attention to detail; ensure all paperwork and computer data have been completed accurately.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Determine if own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>Effectively communicate written information such as tie-ins, reports and/or required documentation.
