Play a key role in our future success:<BR><BR><BR>Job Description:<BR><BR>Compass Group, North American Division, the world leader in the contract foodservice industry, has an immediate opening in our Chartwells K-12 School Dining Services division in Portland or Seattle. This position requires a strong, independent sales performer who is home-based. This is not a "management" position.<BR><BR>This high-level position ascertains the foodservice needs of school districts. Individuals with selling experience in the K-12 market (calling on Business Managers, Superintendents and School Boards) are encouraged to apply. Understanding of the NSLP (National School Lunch Program) is also a plus.<BR><BR>Recipe to Succeed:<BR>- New account sales, encompassing total orchestration of the sales process: including but not limited to: Prospect identification, Prospect qualifying, proposal development, closing and contract negotiations.<BR>- Administration, including account planning, administration expense control, territory management and reporting, budgeting, territory planning and call frequency.<BR>- Liaison with operations, including survey coordination, rebid support when approved by the Regional Vice-President and sales training for operations management.<BR>- Attendance at various National & Regional conferences and trade shows; some of which require weekend commitments.<BR><BR>Necessary Ingredients:<BR>-Strong work ethic; high degree of motivation without external prompting<BR>- Outstanding written communiation skills and oral presentations<BR>- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities<BR>- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment<BR>- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership<BR>- Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures<BR>-Ability to use working knowledge of environment to meet established goals and objectives<BR>-Proficient use of a laptop is a must. Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Microsoft CRM and Outlook.<BR>- Ability to Work Independently in Multiple Territories<BR>- Active Listening Skills<BR>- Analytical Ability to Develop and Understand Pro Formas, P&L''s and Manage Overhead Bud </font></td>
