When you join Nordstrom, you are welcomed into a family dedicated to creating memorable and rewarding shopping experiences for our customers.<BR><BR>The ideal item analyst is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service everyday.<BR><BR>Responsibilities<BR>* Gather and prioritize information from buying offices for item set up and maintenance <BR>* Enter and maintain merchandising information within Nordstrom''s merchandising system, Retek Merchandising System (RMS)<BR>* Communicate with buying offices to identify item set up procedures, potential issues and process training<BR>* Partner with business partners to ensure all aspects of an item are set up correctly <BR>* Develop a deep knowledge of merchandising information and Retek Merchandising System (RMS)<BR>* Identify and communicate new best practices for knowledge sharing across team and divisions<BR>* Communicate with the distribution centers and vendors in order to follow-up on missing information<BR>* Assist with keying item orders and other office administration as requested<BR>Qualifications<BR>* Minimum of 2 years experience as a business analyst or equivalent business acumen<BR>* Knowledge and experience with online, retail, merchandising or product development processes, systems and reporting<BR>* Analytical and problem solving abilities<BR>* Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure all deadlines are met<BR>* <BR>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently with end users<BR>* <BR>Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment<BR>* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications <BR>Since 1901, Nordstrom has offered a wide variety of quality apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at our stores across the country.
