Facing a wide range of interesting business problems and rich datasets, you will have an opportunity to work closely with many business and development teams to identify places where machine learning and data mining methods can automate, streamline, and impact the core business of Amazon, which is growing at over 40% YoY. You are an individual with excellent communication skills to discover opportunities, outstanding analytical abilities to define problems, and technical skills to build prototypes and demonstrate the impact.<BR><BR>Key tasks include:<BR>- Identify innovative projects by collaborating with business and development teams<BR>- Formulate business problems into machine learning solutions<BR>- Prototype solutions to demonstrate impact<BR>- Help development teams to implement, test, launch and monitor the solution into production<BR><BR><BR>RetailSystemsJobs<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR>- M.S. in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining or related fields<BR>- 2+ years of experience with data analysis in a variety of quantitative fields including classification, regression, feature selection/extraction<BR>- Ability to build prototype software using a modern programming language such as Java, Python, R etc.<BR>- Excellent communication skill is a must<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR>- Phd in machine learning related fields is desired<BR>- Strong background in machine learning, data mining, and statistics techniques including classification, regression, text mining, natural language processing, clustering, feature selection/extraction<BR>- Extensive Experience of Linux/Unix, SQL, scripting language, R, java<BR>- Excellent verbal/written communication skills<BR>- Project management and coordination experience is a plus </font></td>
