We''re looking for an innovative research scientist to work closely with a development team to develop cutting edge machine learning and statistical analytic solutions in this space.<BR><BR>This individual would own end-to-end business problems and metrics, and they would have a direct impact on the bottom line of our business while improving customer experience. If you see how data and technology can be used in this space, you love to build, and you deliver results, we want you to be in our team.<BR><BR>Major responsibilities<BR>- Use statistical and machine learning techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems<BR>- Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of Amazon-?s historical business data to help automate and optimize key processes<BR>- Design, development and evaluation of highly innovative models for predictive learning<BR>- Work closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations<BR>- Work closely with operations staff to optimize various business operations,<BR>- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation<BR>- Track general business activity and provide clear, compelling management reporting on a regular basis<BR>- Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR>The ideal candidate for this position would be a highly talented technical leader with 5-10 years of exceptional hands-on experience in machine learning in eCommerce, or an enterprise software company building and providing analytics/risk management services/software. He/she should have several years of experience managing teams of analytic professionals. An MS/PhD degree in computers science or related engineering discipline is required. The candidate should have good communication skills and good management and leadership experience in an applied setting.
