               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">POSITIONS AVAILABLE<BR><BR>Company:         Amazon Corporate LLC, an Amazon.com company <BR><BR>Location:           Seattle, WA <BR><BR>Position Title:    Research Scientist <BR><BR>Position Responsibilities:   <BR><BR>Perform quantitative analysis evaluating the benefits and costs of changes in the supply chain in Amazon Retail Systems using Amazon proprietary software, relational database tables, R scripts, perl scripts, shell scripts, Excel spreadsheets and object-oriented programming in Java.  Develop new and modify existing models, which can be used for estimating the impact of a change or in a production environment to make real-time decisions in a scalable way.  Invent and implement best in class inventory practices to balance customer trust and financial performance using A/B tests, optimization techniques, machine learning and data mining. Communicate and educate technical and non-technical employees on inventory practices. Manage and lead inventory planning projects including technical development and implementation. <BR><BR>Position Requirements:   <BR><BR>Ph.D in Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related discipline plus one year of experience performing an analytical function in related field of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Statistical Testing, Optimization, or Operations Research.  Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field plus three years of experience in the specialty as equivalent to the Ph.D and one year of experience.  One year of experience must involve experience with object-oriented programming in Java, algorithms, machine learning, data mining, relational databases, and scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby, building modeling prototypes or simulations that have been implemented in a real-world application, writing SQL queries, using statistical tools, completing operational or process analyses, and communicating with technical and business employees or academics.  <BR><BR>In order to apply, please send your resume, referencing AMZ605, including job history, to: Amazon Corporate LLC, an Amazon.com company, P.O.
